It may be the season for 100-degree temperatures, but that doesn’t mean all the fun is indoors around here. Water play is officially open in Surprise as our splash pads and pools host summer long fun.

Spray rings, water cannons and interactive water pads that spray higher the more you jump – there is endless fun to be had at our splash pads this summer. Even better, they are all FREE! Splash pads are open 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. daily (April 1 through October 31).

Dick McComb Park 17894 W. Westpark Blvd.
This splash pad has a fun assortment of sprays and fountains to enjoy, along with a playground with two different age-appropriate areas. The playground is half shaded to help it stay cool and offers play equipment for kids 2-5 years old in one area and from 5-12 years old in another area. Daily hours: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Marley Park’s Heritage Park 1573 W. Sweetwater Ave.
This splash pad is covered, which is perfect for the hottest times of the day. The splash pad area includes a ring spray feature, as well as two moveable sprayers for some kid-friendly water fights. For the littles, there are smaller water fountains that will keep them entertained. Plus, the park’s playground area is nearby for those needing a little more adventure.

Rescue Oasis Park, Soak Station 309 - 12361 N. Perryville Rd.
This fire-themed splash pad is a tribute to our heroes at Fire Station 309 right next door, and it’s where the fun really starts to heat up. The littles can have fun on fire engine red slides, bold hydrant features and cooling sprays… all under shade sails! When the kids are looking to dry off, they can enjoy a state-of-the-art park on-site.

Veramonte Park - 12741 N. 140th Ave.
This park offers the best of both worlds with a splash pad plus a large covered playground just a few steps away. Here you can enjoy the fun of a half ring spray, water sprayers kids can aim and smaller fountains for younger kids. Plus, there are circles on the ground that shoot out water on their own, but go even higher when you jump on them! If you’re looking for a little fun while drying off, the playground has a climbing structure, slides and a teeter-totter.
