Spring Training in Surprise will begin on Friday, February 24 with home teams, the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals, facing off at Surprise Stadium at 1:05 p.m.

Here is your guide to the 2023 Spring Training Season:

Be game day ready!
Here’s what you need to know before entering Surprise Stadium:

  • Entry gates open 90 minutes before game time.
  • Surprise Stadium is a 100% cashless experience.
  • Parking is free - View Parking Map.
  • Backpacks/bags: In an effort to enhance public safety, Surprise Stadium has modified its security policy by limiting the size and style of bags allowed in the stadium.

Approved Bags:

  • Clear Tote: Plastic, vinyl and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
  • Small Clutch Purse: No larger than 5" x 8" with or without a handle or strap
  • Plastic Storage Bag: Clear, one (1) gallon, re-sealable

An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection upon entering. Please limit the number of items you bring to the stadium on event days.

Transportation and Parking - Parking is FREE!
For the safety of pedestrians, there will be a full closure in place two hours ahead of gates opening on Bullard Avenue from Paradise Lane to Tierra Buena. Fans going to the game can access the stadium parking lot: 

From Bell Road by going south on Parkview Place or Bullard Avenue to Paradise Lane

  • From Greenway by going north on Parkview Place to Paradise Lane

There is additional parking located north of Paradise Lane and south of Tierra Buena Lane. For details, please see the Parking & Closure Map or visit SurpriseStadium.com.

Scanning Your Tickets on Gameday
Step 1: Open your mobile ticket as you approach the entry gate
Step 2: Scan your ticket using the scanner at the entry gate and you’re in!

Please remember to download and save your tickets to MLB Ballpark prior to game day.

Single game tickets still available!
Ticket prices range from $8 - $55. Purchase tickets in advance of game day and save at least $2 per ticket! Choose from several seating options and experiences, including our Michelob Ultra Legends Deck, which offers specialty-catered food, a beverage and a seat in our exclusive club level with a private bar. Upcoming Spring Training Special Events

Surprise Sundancers Charity Game: February 25
The Surprise Sundancers Charity Game is an important Surprise Spring Training tradition focused on giving back to the community. The game on Saturday, February 25 at 1:05 p.m., will feature the Kansas City Royals against the Texas Rangers. All proceeds from this home team face-off will be donated to the Surprise Sundancers organization, benefiting Surprise/Northwest Valley youth-related programs and scholarships. In 2021, the Surprise Sundancers presented over $140,000 in youth scholarships and donations to local area non-profit organizations.

Sensory Awareness Day presented by T.E.A.M. 4 Kids: February 26
Surprise Stadium and T.E.A.M. 4 Kids Surprise have teamed up to offer Sensory Awareness Day, a more sensory-friendly ballpark experience! Seating and a special ticket offer will be available in the designated sensory-sensitive lawn area. T.E.A.M. 4 Kids will provide sensory stations and a designated quiet area where attendees can take a break when needed.

Pup Nights at Surprise Stadium presented by Chance Shelter: March 8 & 23
Surprise Stadium is excited to welcome back Pup Nights at Surprise Stadium! You and your dog will both get to enjoy the game with other dogs and dog lovers from our pet-friendly lawn section. Please note, only one pup per handler! Each dog must have a “PUP” specific ticket and handlers/owners will need a “HANDLER” ticket. Handlers must be 18 years or older. Participants must complete a waiver to bring a pup into Surprise Stadium.

A portion of each "Pup" ticket sold will be donated to Chance Shelter in support of their mission to provide compassionate care to animals through adoptions, education, crisis intervention and community involvement. Event tickets are limited, purchase here.

Fireworks Night presented by Sanderson Ford & Sanderson Lincoln: March 14
Get the week started with a boom as we light the sky with a fireworks show set to an explosive soundtrack! Get your tickets today for Tuesday, March 14 and plan to make your night an explosive one as we light up with the sky with a fun-filled post-game Fireworks Spectacular, presented by Sanderson Ford and Sanderson Lincoln.

Sunday Funday Family Four Pack (Every Sunday)
Spend your Sunday enjoying Spring Training at Surprise Stadium with our Sunday Funday Family Four Pack for $44. It’s four lawn tickets, four drinks, four hot dogs and four popcorns. Kids also run the bases for free after the game, presented by Uptown Alley.
