First Friday Surprise is a pop-up creative district that appears on the first Friday of the month, eight nights a season, October through May. Curated makers and artists, food trucks, and live music fill the space in and around Arts HQ Gallery, in the heart of Surprise. Every month carries a new theme that shapes the art, the makers, and the menu. Not a market, not a festival. A district that appears, then disappears.

March turns Spring Training. Cactus League season is underway, and the district takes on the feel of a spring afternoon at the park. Hometown pride, America's Pastime, and the kind of optimism that only shows up this time of year. Sketch Cards is the month's featured discipline. Ballpark food on the menu, the classics reimagined rather than served straight.
