WHAM Art Center is proud to present its 12th Annual “Bowls of Hope” charity event on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 16560 N. Dysart Rd., Surprise, AZ.
The art festival unites local artists and community members to raise funds for those facing hunger and hardship across the West Valley. This year, more than 500 handmade bowls were created through a true community collaboration— crafted and glazed by WHAM artists and talented volunteers from the Sun City and Sun City West Clay Clubs. Each bowl is a one-of-a-kind work of art, made with care and creativity to bring warmth into every home.
In addition to the bowl sale, booth spaces are available for rent to artists and makers interested in displaying their work or sharing a creative business. Spaces are $25 for the day. “Each bowl represents creativity and compassion,” says WHAM Executive Director Connie Whitlock. By purchasing a bowl, community members help feed families, support neighbors in need, and spread hope—strengthening the bonds of community throughout the West Valley.
Proceeds from Bowls of Hope support seven local charities, including St. Mary’s Food Bank, Eve’s Place Community Services, Homeless Youth Connection, StreetLight USA, All Faith Community Services, Valley View Community Food Bank, and Southwest Family Advocacy Center. Since the program began, WHAM has donated over $42,000 to these organizations, helping provide food, shelter, and hope to families, veterans, women, and children in need.
With hunger still impacting families across Arizona—affecting one in five residents —Bowls of Hope reminds us that creativity and compassion can make a tangible difference close to home. This November, WHAM invites the community to come together in celebration of art, generosity, and the human spirit—helping end hunger in Arizona, one bowl at a time.
